The triple interceptor waste is treated differently and transported safely to a facility in Wodonga. The transportation of this waste will be recorded with the EPA as per their regulations.

Triple Interceptor Service and Maintenance

A triple interceptor is designed to be used when the trade waste discharge contains a high level of silt and oil, such as in mechanical workshops or a manufacturing factory. It will separate the silt and oil from the water being released into the sewer. Depending on the size and usage, your local water authority will require that these be pumped out regularly, at least annually. If this is not done, the interceptor becomes full and will begin releasing oils into the town sewer. This is not healthy or environmentally friendly for the town sewage plant, leading to costly clean-ups for the water authority and possible fines for your business.
